Thanks for thinking of me
I am still pregnant. 42 weeks today. Never thought that would happen.

I have until Monday. Sometimes you got to love the weekend. So today I am treating myself to a pedicure, ice cream and maybe a movie.

Enjoy your weekend of pampering!

Awww Pernille, thats awesome that you are treating yourself. Your a great mom for being so patient. Have you tried any natural induction methods yet?

ohh yeah we have tried them all.
Even resorted to castor oil on Wednesday. Been doing acupuncture since week 39 but stopped Monday since I was getting really tired of having to keep driving there. Nothing is working.

Pernille, thinking of you. Apparently sweeping membranes is very effective at 42 wks because it worked for both me and Wombat (I just read her story). I really hope your baby will come this weekend, I know how that "deadline" feels.

Hey Pernille, just saying I'm with you on the faking it and waiting thing.

I'm at 41+5 today. Today I baked a birthday cake and told her she's gotta be out before the last piece is eaten. We'll see.

I'm so sorry Pernille. I really hope your baby will decide its cosier in your arms than in your uterus.

I hope you're having that babe Pernille! Big hugs and hopes for a wonderful birth.

ok, I lied when I said I wasn't coming back until the baby is born. I am still pregnant and tried one more natural induction attempt this afternoon which did not work. Can't beat the experience of an enema and then a date with your breast pump for a Sunday afternoon.

So, my MW is back in town in a few hours and she is coming over tomorrow am to break my water hoping that will get me started. If not I am off to the hospital for Pit. I just packed the hospital bag (which made me really sad), just need to put my laptop, and camera in and try to hide some food.

Then I am calling my midwife to talk through my "demands" in case of the hospital induction. At this point they better let me do what I want or I am going psycho pregnant lady on them. I also ready a birth story of a mom who locked the door to her room. I might have to resort to that I will still have quality care in the room as my midwife will come with as my Doula. She no longer had delivery priveledges at the hospital after starting her homebirth practice.

We set up care for DS. At least he can go to daycare during the day and we will only need to worry about after hours.

I hope you don't have to lock the door, but if that's what it comes to I'm glad you know your options! Hopefully the water breaking will do the trick and you can just have the baby at home.
