Hubby and I are sort of pondering buying a place in St Joseph, MO.
I really like some of the architecture, I am a big old house buff.

Anyhow, aside from some pretty homes, what else is there in St Jo?

How liberal is it?
Homeschooling friendly?
We don't vax - are there docs who are open to that?
Is there a thriving AP community?
How expensive is living?

I have no idea and would like to know the same thing for the same reason. We're thinking about moving to St Joe this summer and I'd love to meet another likeminded mama there!

But, I can tell you that Lawrence, KS has a thriving AP community. It's pretty much a crunchy mama haven. It's not St Joe, obviously, it's an hour and a half away and is an excellent place to raise some crunchy kids.
