Mid cycle bleeding

What reasons are there for mid cycle (time of ovulation) bleeding, not just spotting but like a regular period? But definitely not implantation bleeding.
My cycles have been very irregular lately, long, short, PMS, ovulation pain, and now the last 2 months I've had mid cycle bleeding. Just got a BBT to start charting - trying to balance the hormone madness.

Sorry I'm no help, but very interested in any answers you get. I'm having like spotting bleeding, two months in a row. Not pg, and I have an IUD. I just started charting again, but only to chart ppAF and cramping due to unknown cause. Awesome fun.

I think it is a hormone imbalance. I use to get this before I changed to eating a whole foods diet with lots of healthy fat.

estrogen dominance. Progesterone should help.
