Ok, probobly been asked, but can't find--IS the swine flu vaccine going to be mandatory??

I'm sorry if this has been hashed out. I just got done reading the 11 page thread about swine flu vax, and I couldn't find anywhere where someone said exactly where they found out the swine flu vax is going to REALLY be mandatory. Even so, I'm FREAKING b/c of all the talk about FEMA camps and coffins and etc. etc. etc..........
PLEASE someone give me a valid source that says they are making them madatory. I am wondering if I should keep my 3 yr old home from preschool and ballet! And I am just really stressed over this....

ETA:: I'm wondering if I should keep her home not for fear of getting swine flu, but for fear of her being vax'd while there!!!

No, the vax is not going to be made mandatory. Seriously, nobody is going to search out your kid at ballet and vax her.

1) the seasonal flu vax isn't "mandatory" for school in most states
2) swine flu is no big deal. I have it right now, my 3 and 4 year old just got over it in 2 days each.
3) No one can vax your child without permission, and certainly not at pre-school or ballet. A vax has to be administered by a licensed health professional. don't keep your darling home!

A local state senator's office thought it was in the works in our state, but now that I have seen reports that they won't even have 1/3 of the 'promised' stash....there's just no way they could pull that off. I am really not concerned anymore about it happening. Obviously things could change at any point, but I wouldn't hold much faith in them being able to pull of something like that.

ETA: I am not laughing at the OP, but 'them' and all their huge promises all the time.

There sure is a lot of fear-mongering going around these day to sort through, but NO, the vaccine will not be mandatory.

That being said, if my child were in public school, I would be concerned of how they collect parental consent and honor it if that school chose to vaccinate local populations. There could be lots of room for error and confusion.
