How long before my cycles will regulate?

I have a 15 month old. I had my first PPAF when he was 12 months old, then a month later. But now I've had nothing for 2 months. I'm not pregnant. I also think my first 2 cycles were anovulary as I was monitoring cervical fluid and had a lot of pre fertile but no peak fluid. How long before my cycles will become regular again? Should they already be regular? LO breastfeeds once at night and about every 3 hours during the day.

I think it really depends on the woman. For me, I had my first AF at 5 months postpartum( very short) then nothing again for 3 months. Had my second (what I consider to be my first real AF postpartum as the first was very short and I know I didn't ovulate) at about 8.5 months pp and my third about 10 months pp. I got pregnant at 11.5 months pp while my cycles were still messed up (I'm normally a very regular 27 day cycler) relying on cervical fluid.

With my first, I had my first AF 4 months later and it was regular from the get go.

Yes, it really depends. Your fertility, age, how much and how often your lo breastfeeds, how much sleep you get, how you take care of yourself, etc.

I got my first AF 6mo PP bc the older ones were home from school and our nursing schedule changed dramatically overnight. Long story short here but we moved a month before giving birth so after birth I would stay up at night to organize house and sleep most of the day with newborn while the older ones were at school when kids got out for summer we could no longer nurse all day long and that drastic change triggered AF...shes been regular and HARD ever since. Its different for everyone I guess. Have a friend who only nurses 2times a day and still no AF

I got mine back after both my girls at 13 months. Mine start out super long (I think I average 72 days at first) with no ovulation. The next cycle is a tad shorter with a super late ovulation and short luetal phase. As time goes on my total cycle length shortens to it's regular length with my ovulation day moving up to a more normal spot (thus lengthening my luetal phase at the same time). It takes a couple months for sure. It was a decent enough "normal" cycle that at 18 months pp and 19 months pp respectively I've gotten pregnant. So 4-5 months time for me. I don't do any amount of weaning (including night time) until closer to 2 with solids not really starting until about 1 year old.
