I read your cliff notes version for a leaky gut. I know you suggest bubbies sauerkraut, but my health food store only carries bubbies pickles. Is that just as good?
Thanks

Bubbies DILL pickles are naturally fermented. The yummy bread and butter pickles don't have probiotic benefits, unfortunately.

Thanks Pat.

Yeah, I might do one a day. But, kefir is much easier for me. I want to try Tanya's kimchee, but I'm afraid of growing bacteria. lol

Moonlight Mom, if you like sauerkraut, it's really easy to make at home. Do a search in the Traditional Foods forum for all sorts of discussion. We make kimchee, as Pat mentioned, and it's just so darned easy.

Pat--I'm going to infect a new generation of kids with the idea of growing your own bacteria. I just joined a homeschool coop and I'm teaching the very first class of the term, Bacteria and the Human Body. I'm planning lots of food discussion and lots of poop discussion. (kids ages 5-8, so I assume poop will be a popular topic)
