What's the longest you've gone . . .

without knitting/crocheting. That is, if you've been doing it for a while. I've been crocheting for almost 8 years now and knitting for almost 3. Recently, though, I cannot get up the motivation to do anything! I used to crochet/knit while nursing or any little window I got to sit down. Now, it seems life is so hectic . . . I can't get a moment and I can't seem to make a moment like I used to be able to do. What about you?

I recently ended a 3 month hiatus when I discovered I was pregnant. Nothing like a teeny one to inspire some new knitting!

A just ended a three month haitus--took a break to give my hands/wrists/shoulders a rest. Then I knit a short-sleeved raglan sweater for dd1 in two days, and started a shawl for myself today.

The last time I picked up my sticks was 10 months ago when I was in labor. I just couldn't figure out a way to knit one handed! The colder months always inspire me to knit. Warm weather is for needlework!

I've been through a knitting doldrums recently- I go through spells every so often. It's OK- it just means that the needs that you fulfilled through knitting are being filled with other things in your life. When the time is right, you'll pick the needles up again.

I'm too new a knitter to be in too much of a lull. I have spent far less time knitting this summer though, way too busy! I'm sure I'll be much more productive when it gets cold, which hopefully isn't for another few months ;-)

I started crocheting when I was 17, stopped at around 19, and started again at 31 - so... 12 years?

I've been crocheting and learning to knit non-stop since last November. I expect my next hiatus will be whenever there's another newborn in the house.

I usually slow down a lot in the summer. Probably a couple months is as long as I've gone. Currently I haven't knit/crochet anything for a little over a month. I'm too busy getting ready for baby and I'm running out of time. Thankfully I went on a knitting frenzy earlier and have a few woolies ready.

I stopped when we put our house on the market in March and just picked back up. I couldn't find a way to knit and keep a house in show condition then we moved in with my parents then we moved into our new house so the timing wasn't right. I just cast on a sweater for dd yesterday and I am happy to have something back on the needles.

I don't think I have gone longer than a week at a time...although, things have slowed down. I used to bring my knitting with me everywhere and would knit any chance I got. These days I find myself knitting only in the evenings after the kids have gone to bed.
