Near Death Experiences Versus Religion Teachings - Page 4

Didn't you just describe an ultimate truth using words? "Everything we perceive here on earth is an illusion"? And yet I understood it. Words have meanings, meanings can be understood: if we didn't both believe that, we wouldn't be in this thread. If you can't trust the written communication in the Bible because it was written with words by humans, how can you trust the written communication in books or on the internet by NDErs and great spiritual thinkers?

I also don't believe humans "filtered" the Bible: I believe the Holy Spirit told them what to write down, and that they then wrote it down. Not an uncommon Christian view, though by no means the only one.

I used words but even what I said is not the ultimate truth because truth at its highest go way beyond the realm of thoughts and words. Words have meaning here because that is how we communicate just like animals communicate differently and communication in this form is necessary but in the ultimate reality words are meaningless as pure telapathy is used and human language is totally inadaquate in comparison. As for your question about how can I trust the written words of NDERs and great spiritual the answer is pretty simple for me. Though I have never met a great spiritual thinker in person yet I can say however when I hear an NDER talk about his or her experience it is coming straight from their soul. I go to NDE support groups and you can always tell when someone is telling the truth just by looking their eyes. Reality is limited here so everyone will have their own perception of truth. As for me my quest for ultimate truth is unending and it is not completely enough for me to go by what NDERs say alone because it is my goal to reach the Kingdom Of Heaven that is already within and no book will get me there because outward observation can only get you to a certain point.
