BG insert questions

When did you move up from using just the newborn insert to using the regular insert? (the one with snaps)

Do you use any inserts other than the BG inserts?

I moved the snap up on the BG insert when I changed to snaps on the diaper. I used the smallest setting on the insert with the smallest on the diaper, then up on both, then let the insert all the way out when I let all the snaps on the diaper out. I use my BG inserts in all of my pocket diapers. The only different insert I use is a hemp doubler with the BG one at night.

I've only ever used the snap instert. I loved it so much I got it to go inside my tiny tushes too. FWIW, DS is 32 mos, and we still use it folded & snapped to the smallest position (b/c w/ a little boy, you want the most asorbancy in the front) while the dipe is fully unsnapped to the largest position.

My babies were such heavy wetters that the small "newborn" insert would not have been sufficient for them. So, we never used just that in our diapers. I do have heavy wetters and they always required one microfiber and one hemp insert no matter what brand pocket i was using.
DS was a super nurser....and liquid in = liquid out.

We use two newborn inserts together, or sometimes a newborn insert with a hemp insert. I'll only use the newborn inserts by itself at home because DS goes through them pretty quickly. I have a large stash of different inserts I've collected over time.
