How are the babes sleeping? - Page 2

Anaka has been a pretty good sleeper from the start. There was some trouble for a bit when my supply was too low and she just wasn't getting enough to eat... and then the heat-wave...

Now she will sleep 3-6 hours at night (I don't often let her go 6, learned to set an alarm after that) and she takes naps during the day ranging from 15 min to 3 hours. Poor DH is the one who usually suffers the 15min. naps. I can get her to go down for a half hour pretty reliably. We're both shocked when she pulls a 3 hour out of nowhere.

My big thing right now is getting her to wake up enough to feed, but not so much that she stays up.

Graysen usually nurses to sleep between 7-8pm and wakes between 12-2am and then again around 4-5am. I have just recently gone back to work so I sneak another feeding in at around 6:30am before I leave.

She typically takes one really good nap in the morning and several shorter cat naps in the afternoon/early evening.

Keelia has slept 6 - 8 hour stretches since the end of her first week.
The first time she slept 8 hours in a row I woke up in a state of panic wondering why and how I slept that long!
so, no complaints from my corner!

Matthew sleeps really well, much better than any of my other children ever did as babies... he is going between 7 and 8 hours at night, nurses and goes straight back to sleep until about 8am. Works really, really well for us! :-) :-)

(((HUGS))) to the mommies who are struggling with sleep deprivation!

Juliette has always been a good sleeper (though we have had a few hellish nights of practically no sleep here and there).

She goes to bed at around 10 every night and sleeps till around 6:30 (I nurse side-lying at night and she sleeps between us). I then nurse her and she'll go back to sleep for another hour or so. She has been doing this for a couple weeks now. Before she would sleep 3-4 hour stretches at night with the occasional 5-6.

During the typical day Jewel will take a series of around 2 hour naps with a 1-1.5 hour awake period in between. However most of the time she doesn't want to be put down and sleeps strapped to me in my Moby wrap. I agree that it does make it hard to get anything done but the Moby wrap certainly makes it much easier for me to cope then the typical sling did.

Overall I don't think I can complain, especially since my sister's 3 yr old still wakes up several times a night and has never been a good sleeper.
