Midwife review/critique San Diego

Thread Starter
Hi. Looking to hire a midwife for my first homebirth here in San Diego. I've interviewed 3...

Vickii Gervais; Celesta Rannisi; Brooke Ray.

I like all of them. I'm pretty I would feel comfortable with any of them. But I do have to make a decision.

Does anyone have experience with any of these wonderful ladies - good or bad - that they would like to share with me?

Thanks so much,
Amy

I interviewed Vickii and Brooke and chose Brooke to attend my two homebirths. She was fabulous. Very professional, and extremely competent when I hemorrhaged after my daughter's birth. But also very warm and supportive. My doula missed the birth and Brooke was there to support me through a challenging labor - at my first homebirth, when my doula was there, Brooke let her handle that part.

I also like Vickii very much and have friends who swear by her.

PM me if you want more info on Brooke.

I used Brooke too. I chose her because I felt comfortable with her, didn't feel she would be pushy, and she was on the same page as me with what is serious/not serious. I felt my care was great.

Feel free to PM me if you want more info.

Hi, just a reminder that we don't host negative discussion of practitioners on the public boards, but instead, we ask that members send this information via PM

Best wishes for a wonderful birth
