I live in the Tempe area and am considering switching my children's pediatrician office. I am looking for an office, that keeps the sick and well kids seperate (i.e. different exam rooms and waiting areas). Or does it really matter because the drs will see both sick and well patients? I was doing an alternate vax schedule with ds2, but the dr pointed out the drs office is pretty much the last place I want to bring my baby (schedule I was looking at would mean going in more often). Any suggestions?

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

We see Dr. Piacentine at Mesa Pediatrics (we go to the Tempe office at McClintock and Guadalupe)
They have separate sick/well kid waiting areas and he's a really nice guy. He's not questioned us about vaxing and was willing to do a titer test on the girls because they've been exposed to chicken pox 5 times without getting it. He even prescribed lidocane cream to be applied prior to the blood draw - all without questioning me.
He listens to me when I express concerns about my DD's sensory issues and is willing to authorize any testing I suggest.
He never even talks to us about vaxing anymore.
He's a really nice guy. My only very tiny complaint is that he give out parenting advice at most every appointment - talks about reward charts, positive reinforcement etc... nothing terribly over the top but, just different from what I would expect.
