Dry eyes

In the vein of weird symptoms....

My eyes have been so dry! Today I had to forego the contacts and wear my glasses. It's been happening since a few days before I knew I was pg, but I just now connected the dots.

Anybody else have this problem? What helps you? I don't usually have dry eyes, so I don't even have any drops.

I've been having issues with my contacts too...I have read that this is very common during pregnancy. I would definitely get some drops (I like Aquify personally) and see if they help. The only thing about the drops is that they are pretty expensive and it is easy to go through a bottle pretty quickly if your eyes are really bad. Lately I've also been taking the contacts out, rinsing them with plain saline, and putting them back in. That helps even more, and plain saline is only about 3 bucks for a big giant bottle!

I've struggled with this for years, even when not pregnant. It gets especially bad when I'm tired. I use prescription allergy drops (Patanol), OTC liquid tears (Systane) and recently discovered how well warm washclothes feel. I actually developed an issue on my eyelids last week from Blephartis (dry eyes) and was prescribed some antibiotic ointment.
