May Mamas - Pregnant after Loss

My first pregnancy went off without a hitch!

When my dd was 8mo old, I got pregnant and and miscarried at 9 weeks a blighted ovum.

Fast forward to April of this year, got pregnant and miscarried at 6 weeks.

Now here I am 4 weeks pregnant and my nerves are on edge! What are other mama's doing to cope??

I called a midwife today to see if I can get it to get my beta's and progesterone levels checked. I am having super strong symptoms already. hmmm...praying this little babe sticks!! I want this one so bad!!

Are you telling anyone about your new pregnancy?? We are waiting but we did tell our immediate family.

Yikes!! I feel like I'm going stir crazy with wondering if I get to hold this one in 9 mo or not!!

I'll join this one too.

I've been pregnant 10 times now. I have 4 living children. Our last DD passed away at 38 weeks pregnant, and after she passed is when I had 3 miscarriages before Bodie's pregnancy started in Nov 2007. Now here I am, hoping for a sticky bean this time too.
Good Luck Mama!!

My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 14 weeks, right after telling everyone since we had past the "safe point" of 12 weeks.

This is my second and I have a feeling it will go well and be a girl. My mom's first ended in m/c and her second brought me into the world on May 3, which is also my EDD. Superstitious or just silly, the positive vibes can't hurt!

We haven't told anyone yet, not even family. We are trying to wait until we make it past 14 weeks, and then just tell family.

Yes, this is me too ...
I probably had a few very early MC before conception of DS, now age 3.75. Then lost one at 13 weeks in January. We just started trying again, and EDD 5/1/10.

It's hard to get really excited about this pregnancy. This is a very welcome addition, but it's different after having the experience that a pregnancy doesn't necessarily lead to a baby.

We haven't told anyone yet. I probably will tell my mom and sister soon.
At the same time, I'm starting to think that it is fine if people know early, even if things don't go well. The word spread quickly about my M/C in January (even though I hadn't announced my pregnancy), and the support from my community was amazing.

I'll join this one too.

7 losses, and 2 successful, full term pregnancies.

It's a long road, and I'm hesitant to get excited, but I keep telling myself that it's not always going to be a sad ending.

4weeks 1 day pregnant and just had some blood drawn and sent to the lab. They are checking HCG levels, progesterone levels, thyroid levels..also took urine to check for UTI or yeast infection.

I will get the results back from the midwife in a few days!

I'm feeling at peace watching the BFP test's get darker everyday!!::

Very hopeful but still its scary!! Yikes! How are you mama's holding up??

Do you check the tp every time like I do?? Geeze!!

Yes, you're not the only one doing that!

I'll join you. This is my fifth pregnancy. First is my oldest dd. Second was a miscarriage at 11/12 weeks. Third was my dd stillborn fullterm at 40 weeks. Fourth is my ds. My average so far of achieving a living child is 50/50. I'm hoping for a good outcome this time around!

Hi mama!! I'm so glad you here, and I can't wait to see your hit rate go up to 60% (I hope that come out right, I mean it in the best way possible!!)

BTW, I even turn the bathroom light on at night to check the TP where as before I would pee in the dark

I love seeing familiar faces (or I guess usernames)! I'm hoping my average goes up, not down, too. I saw your numbers on the other thread and they sound great!

I want everyone that starts in this DDC to remain in this DDC.

I'm still in the waiting time right now. I'm hesitant to test, and would rather wait and see if my period comes and goes.

I do feel different. I keep trying to say positive and reassuring things to myself, but it's not always working.

And, I am checking the TP all the time...

Me!

My first three pregnancies were losses.

Then, the fourth was my Isabel.

Apecaut and Tenk, SO glad to be here with you guys! (we were all in the last DDC together ).

I think if my lines keep getting darker, Monday I'll call my mws. Ask for some beta levels, and schedule an early u/s for around 7 weeks. Its so hard these first few weeks to believe.

Hugs to us all .

Yes!!!

I'm so thrilled!! I heard back from the midwife and all my levels are in normal range! I looked up some charts and to me they look on the higher end of average.

At 15dpo my hcg is 296, progesterone is 28 and thyroid is 3.5.

My urine culture hasn't come back..there was some cloudiness so something is there. Maybe yeast?

I'm a happy mama and my gut has been correct. I have had a feeling that this is going to be a sticky baby!! :::::

i can join here too. 3 early m/c's, 2 living dd's, and we lost our son at 4 days old last summer after severe birth complications. We have decided not to tell anyone this time around until....well...probably not until they can just guess themselves. lol

Seriously though, I'm hoping my body doesn't give it away too soon, because we'd like to wait until about 13-14 weeks when we can announce it along with the gender. We had our son out of hospital (our 2nd dd too, who also came out not breathign and spent a week in the nicu), so we are cringing at the thoguht of people making rude comments about us finally using the hospital this time.

As for the early m/c feelings...they are there. I just keep focused on one day at a time and try to keep busy. Each day that passes I just tell dh, "Well... still pregnant. That's a good sign."

This is my second pregnancy - my first (also got pregnant in August of last year) ended in miscarriage at 12 weeks. It's surreal to see my last DDC at the top of the DDC page and my new DDC at the bottom. I'm very much hoping this time around sticks and we can finally welcome a may baby.

Well ladies, I'm out of the running this time.

I had light spotting yesterday and woke up to period-style bleeding this morning and cramping. Just got back from the OB and I've definitely miscarried

A tad angry about getting the suck end of the statistical averages, again.
