chapter length?

is there a guideline to how long chapters should be? mine are pretty long... like 20+ pages. Does it matter?

Not in the least.

The length of chapters is purely a stylistic choice. some people write short (500 words or less) chapters, others do long ones, still others do no chapters at all!

Just make chapters where you feel they need to be. There is no right or wrong answer to this one. Mine average around 1800-2500 words - that's just an arbitrary point I've noticed I tend to tell that chapter's story. Your mileage will vary.

Yup, ditto that! What works for you and your story is what works. In my current project, mine have turned out to be eerily uniform in length without my having really tried. They're mostly 2200-2800 words long.
