Mustard and Walnuts

Every day I think I am making progress, then, something happens, and my 7 month old reacts. We are off all dairy, wheat, gluten, soy, peanuts, beef, berries, tomatoes. I have been off dairy for 6 months, but I was cheating and eating a little butter, and I eliminated that a couple weeks ago, and, amazing, the cottage cheese type spitups after every BF came to a hault, and the eczema on the chin improved. But, on Saturday and Monday, I had a mustard, turkey, and lettuce wrap, and we had one of the worst nights in a long time. I also had walnuts that day too. I thought walnuts would be ok because we do almonds and pecans. Is it possible mustard is an issue? I am dreading starting solid foods.

Is it regular commercial mustard? Could be corn depending on what kind of vinegar they use. That's a top intolerance. Walnuts could be an issue as well. My DS reacts to almonds but not pine nuts or walnuts. Are you keeping a food journal with all the ingredients/brands?

You are making progress, if you've already figured out those foods, and you're hitting baseline once in a while. It's never easy. But it's rewarding when their symptoms go away. You're doing good so far. You're farther than a lot of people!

My son is severely allergic to mustard, sesame and sunflower seeds. Seeds, like nuts, have very potent proteins, so they can definitely cause dramatic reactions.
