I am nursing my 20 month old and haven't yet gotten my period. I understand that the first cycle is generally anovulatory, but that women who take longer to get their cycles back can *sometimes* ovulate first. Exactly how slim are the chances of conceiving before getting your period back? I am having the same symptoms I had with my other two pregnancies (bloating, mood swings, lots of cervical fluid). At first I figured I was ovulating, but this has been going on for a few weeks.
I ask this because I took a hpt yesterday and the day before. With the first test, a very faint line didn't show up until a few hours later, then yesterday a very very faint line showed up half an hour later. I would presume them to be evaporation lines, but both lines are in the identical spot on the test. So, not having a period for 2.5 years I really have no clue how far along I would be, but I'm figuring it couldn't be more than a few weeks, based on when dh has been home this summer.
Has this happened to anyone else? How long did it take to get an accurate test result?
