Hi there, so my DS2 who is now just a couple days shy of being 3 weeks old, I'm fairly certain has thrush - his gums are a bit puffy and he has some white spots on the roof of his mouth. He was fine up untill late last night, when he suddenly got really fussy and basicly didn't sleep all night long 
and hardly even nursed - he'd latch on and suck for a minute than cry and fuss, and rinse and repeat - all night long!
Then this morning while changing his diaper I could see into his mouth and saw the spots and puss and such and figured it was thrush, so I called the ped and have an appointment for 3:20 tommorrow... but in the mean time, is there anything I can do to help him out? My breasts aren't sore at all (yet), but I just feel soo bad for him - he gets on and nurses for a few minutes every now and then but nothing like his normal, and hes just been SO upset ALL day long
On the bright side he got weighed and is up to 8# 12.5 oz (from a birthweight of just 6# 9.4oz!!
and is now 21" long (from birth of 19.5)!! 
So, obviously this is a new development and he's BEEN getting plenty of milk up untill late last night/today...
