Homemade baby memory book resources

Looking at some of my options, both commercial and homemade, I've decided to create my own baby memory book with more meaningful images and pages for my unique family.

BUT...

I am not really experienced in scrapbooking or other papercrafts so I need some help with finding resources...

-How tos and supplies.

I live in a small town with a limited selection of generic mainstream crafting supplies and I am not very much a generic mainstream kind of mama so online sources would be great.

-Also inspiration! Any links to books other people have made so I can get inspired to what to add and how to pull it all together.

I made my first baby's book. I used Creative Memories stuff...maybe there is a distributor in your area, or maybe you could order online? I think their stuff is fantastic, though it can be a little pricey.
