HSG result question - is this normal?

So I had my HSG yesterday - it wasn't too bad, but I'm glad that my husband managed to make it there (I was TERRIFIED that he wouldn't - I do poorly with doctors).

The doctor said that everything looked normal, spill out both tubes, all that, they'd call me about making an appointment to discuss where we want to go from here.

But to both my husband and I, it looked like my uterus was tilted almost 45 degrees towards one side. Is this normal? I mean, it probably doesn't matter, but I am a little worried about adhesions from endometriosis.

Also - what happens to adhesions in pregnancy? No one says anything about them being dangerous, but if the uterus is adhered to, say, the intestine - wouldn't the moving potentially be bad?

Thanks!

Hello,
I have also been concerned over the years as I was always told my uterus was tipped to one side. I have seen a variety of massage therapists with specialized skills and would always inquire about this. They would identify it, but couldn't necessarily tell me what was going on or fix it. I've also had an HSG done - dr's told me everything was fine, they weren't interested in even considering my concerns of my tipped uterus. I saw an osteopath this year - best move I've made yet! She could tell me where my uterus was located, where any adherences/scar tissue was present and helped my uterus become free from these adherences. I've had to go back a few times as it keeps moving to the side. But I was reassured by the osteopath that my uterus us able to centre itself...it's not stuck to the side, and and move around. She felt it was healthy and functioning well, just prefers being on the side most of the time for some reason. Anytime she's working on that part of my body, my uterus easily moves back to centre. This has helped me feel more confident that my uterus is fine and i've stopped worrying about it's position.
so...all that to say, have you thought about seeing an osteopath? I find it hard to explain what they do, but from my experience, it helps and they have an amazing knowledge of the body.

I don't have a large intestine, but my small is adhered pretty good to my uterus. It posed no problems in pregnancy that I've experienced. Adhesions on the outside shouldn't effect what happens inside.

Thanks for the reassurances!

And I'll look into an osteopath.. I don't see it happening too soon due to other stuff going on, but I'll keep it high on the list!

My Uterus is pretty tilted (actually folded in 2) but it did not negatively affect my preg. I can't say whether it did or did not affect my fertility since I tried medically for over 10 years without experiencing a pg.
