Poetry of domestic life...

Thread Starter
I have read a LOT of poetic blogs about domestic life/homeschooling/natural family living linked from MDC, but what about actual poetry that celebrates these values? I have a hankering to read some.

Can anyone here help me with this? I need a reading list...

Recommendations of poems published online or published books/poets would be very welcome.

This book of poetry isn't all about such topics, but it does contain some poems that touch on NFL. (The author is actually an MDC mama, but it isn't my place to give away her SN.) The third poem in the book (Oh My Girl) speaks really beautifully to mothering, especially mothering daughters. Here is the first stanza:

Quote:
Oh My Girl

knocking on the door with cold hands, saying you couldn't sleep
my girl, with the longest umbilical cord, bloody and stretched from dancing
my girl, with a too heavy rucksack, waving at me from the future
sucking my breasts in the past
The link above is the amazon link, but I believe it's better for the author if you buy it directly from the press here: http://tebotbach.org/publication.html (scroll down to find it.) That's how I bought it; they do ship to Canada, though IIRC it was about $5 for shipping.
