Is it safe to cook foods in vita mix?

Hi,

I have seen hot soup and scrambled eggs made in Vita mix. My concern is the plastic container. Isn't it toxic to heat up plastic? Thanks.

I would not want to do this. Only the newest model, 5200, is supposed to have a bpa-free container, but I still would not do it. I am just not comfortable w/heating plastics to cook food. jmo.
