I had thought about suggesting that, sending her and making them actually refuse her. It seems like you have some good help.

I just found this:
http://www.health.ri.gov/requirement...Exemptions.pdf
Quote:
Religious Exemptions
1. Schedule an immunization/vaccine-preventable disease educational intervention session with parent/guardian or student if > 18 years of age. Include a review of the educational materials (Appendix C)
included in this packet. Educational materials include:
3. A CDC Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) for each of the required vaccinations for which the student is
exempt. VIS’s are available in multiple languages at can be ordered on line at www.health.ri.gov. from our
distribution center.
http://www.immunize.org/vis/index.htm, or by contacting the Facts for Parents to Consider with Unprotected Children
• Parents/students requesting additional information can be referred to or given a copy of Reliable Sources of Immunization Information
2. After reading the educational materials, have parent initial and sign Section 2 of the Religious Immunization Exemption Certificate.
3. The administrative head and school nurse should sign and date Section 3 of the Religious Immunization Exemption Certificate, and distribute copies as designated on the bottom of the certificate.
The Religious Exemption is down on the page.

It says nothing about needing a note from a leader of a church.

Honestly, mama I don't know how you're still dealing with this! I would have lost my marbles by now. Good for you, sticking up for your rights and protecting your DD! You're a real fighter!

Wow...what a bunch of BS! I have nothing to add because it's already been said, but sending good vibes to you to see this to completion!!!!

The school district is totally wrong and even Federal law states that no one can legally require you to disclose your religion, for any reason. Federal law trumps them all.

Good luck!!

I'm waiting on edge to hear what happens...

That's crazy. I can't believe this guy is still hassling you like this. Good for you for standing up for your rights and those of your daughter!

What an ordeal! I live in NY and had a similar rough time with DS's university admission, but nothing like this.

Keep fighting!
