i´ve had a sore breast-pectoral area off and on for the last 2 months. it started after holding ds, then 6mo, in one position w-out support for 1 hr.
i went to my dr. and they did a breast ultrasound. fine--alot of milk (this could mean plugged ducts but i honestly don´t think they have many nursing moms).
my whole pectoral area and shoulder was sore-burning. so then i went to a traditional healer here in mx who works w-the musco'skeletal and after 2 visits and some rest i found relief. however, it flares up in the breast area. a few weeks ago i reaaly felt like i had a case of mastits coming on and i think i headed it off with a combo of strong probiotics/vitamin c.
of course, i am anxious b/c of a family history of breast cancer with anything that has to do with breasts--agh!
btw, i have had pain on my other shoulder but bot the breast. the breast that hurts has gone through alot--with dd---bites and once she grabbed it and i had to ice it, etc to i also wonder if that damaged the breast?

any suggestions? i'm thinking of driving up to talk with a lactation consultant next....
