I've been reading that Reiki is an all natural way to relieve OCD? Is this true. Has anyone of you with OCD ever tried this alternative route. I am wondering if it would help my dd.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.
Reiki and OCD

YES! I tried Reiki for my OCD and depression, and it really does help. Massage also helps.
I haven't been able to go back since dh was laid off, but I plan to as soon as we can afford it.
Since OCD is an anxiety disorder, anything that will calm and relax her will help. Fish oil is also an all natural way to boost serotonin in the brain. So is exercise. All of these will greatly help her, I would think.
I have done both medication and all natural things. The natural things work very well, just don't work as fast as the meds do. But with Reiki, I felt better after one session. I really did.
She should also try some kind of talk therapy to help her cope in other ways with her anxiety, and cognitive behavioral therapy will help her with facing the things that make her anxious, riding out that anxious feeling, because it DOES go away, and then learning to deal with anxiety on a daily basis and not do compulsions to deal with it.
What a great mom you are for helping her to deal with this.
