I just realized tonight that I should probably let you all know that I had the baby (exactly one week late). He was born on Father's day at home and delivered by my husband. He was 6 lbs 13 oz and very healthy. It was a planned homebirth, but not a totally planned UC. But it all worked out wonderfully and things went very fast. My water broke at 11:04 am and he was born and announced (over the phone by my mw) at 12:26 pm. It went very fast once it started, it was super intense but completely what I had hoped for. Hard to believe that he is already 2 months old, time flies by way too fast. We didn't tear or anything. The mw got here 1.5 hours after he was born and by then we had moved from the bathtub to the couch and were still waiting for the placenta to be expelled. She had to assist with some traction to get it to come out. It was particularly stubborn. But she said that I looked awesome and that it was hard to believe that I had just had a baby, everything was back pretty much where it needed to be. So healing time for me was extremely quick and we had a rough 6 weeks starting with Baby Forrest Brayden, but now things seem to be settling into more of a pattern, thankfully. I will try to type up my birth story sometime soon before the details become too hazy. Just wasn't sure whether to post here or on the hb section, but it ended up being both thankfully.
