...is going to be interviewed on the Today Show this morning. They just teased it. Just thought y'all may want to know.

I'm recording it, but not sure if they ran it already. I didnt' start the recording until 8:00.

I hope it's better than when Jennifer Lopez was on Rachel Ray spewing misinformation about the safety of dtap and how pertussis is spread...

Today has had a lot of segments about how scary the swine flu is going to be....so, I'm a little skeptical that Wakefield will be given respect on the show.

It started at 8:11 and as I thought...it was complete : They should have called it "A sit-down with Paul Offit." There was more of his rantings than Wakefield and anything shown by wakefield made it look like he was backtracking and just passifying parents. There was a lot of calling him irresponsible and blaming him for all of the parents not vaccinating now. Offit saying that there were 3 vaccine preventable deaths last year....well no, Offit, there were a lot more preventable deaths last year thanks to vaccines.

But they did say that they'd put the unedited interview with wakefield up online. The questioning of what little they showed was leading and accusatory though.

Please remember that the discussion should remain focused on vaccines, research etc. and not about individual people:

threads still need to remain on-topic for the forum and should not be about individuals but about the general topic.

Sunday night on Dateline Matt Laur is doing an hour special called "A Dose of Controversary" and Dr. Wakefield will be interviewed. I believe its an attempt to make vaccines appear safe right before flu shot season but I'll watch it anyway.
