Looking for Home Birth Provider In UT County UTAH

Hello, this is my very first post here! I am hoping someone can help me find the "just right" provider for my upcoming birth. I am 31 weeks along and hope to find her soon!

I am a L&D B.S. R.N. Three of my four babies were born in the hospital, but the last one was born at home. I want to have another home birth, but I want a midwife that is educated and thoughtful. I have met many of the lay midwifes in the area, as well as the CNMs and OBs. I'm just wondering if I'm missing someone that could be "the one".

I had a home birth in UT county abt 3 years ago. The midwife I used was Brigette Eastman at Better Birth. She was a student then, but I really liked her caring nature and the birth was very smoothe. My sister is seeing her now and planning to deliver at the birth center they're associated with. Good luck in your search! Have you looked at the listings at Utahmidwives.net ? I'm sure you'll find the right one and happy homebirthing!

I LOVED my water birth at Better Birth in Orem. I saw Brigette and a student midwife and they were both awesome. I think that all the midwives listed on their website also do homebirths. Brigette has also worked as an EMT and is a licensed massage therapist! What a great combination for a midwife, don't you think?

I heard this about a week ago, but http://motheringyourway.com/ is in Orem and they are supposed to have a birthing room like Better Birth- where it's technically not a birthing center because there's only one room. And I've heard they are cheaper than Better Birth too. A friend of mine said she saw and announcement on a Utah midwife Yahoo group about it. You can call them and see.
