Ds2 weaned in February, not long after ds1's 8th bday. I had a very short break at the end of my pregnancy with DS2 after DS1 and DD both weaned where I wasn't breastfeeding anyone. So, around 8 years when ds2 finished. Damn that's a long time

It will be 5 years on Wednesday. That includes tandem nursing since 7/06, and about 6 months of triandem nursing.

I chose 6-12 months, but my son will be a year on Monday. He will be an only child and hopefully able to self-wean, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

I put 5-7 years. EBF an only child who just recently quit nursing.

Edited to add: OK - DD (6 yrs) woke up and wanted to nurse this morning. Who knew? I think we're mostly done though. It's been weeks.

One year and three days

On that fourth day after his birthday we woke up together I turned to nurse him and he grabbed his blankie and stuck his fingers in his mouth and would not nurse

This one coming in Jan God-willing will go 'til college

I've been nursing since DS1 was born in August 1998, so 11 years. Currently expecting baby #5, so I expect it will be a few more years before I am done.

I've all together been nursing almost eleven years and counting.

#1 off and on for 2 months, then stopped. He is 9 now, going on 10 in October.

#2 4 months, until I was stupid and listened to a doctor about busing advice! She is 6.5.

#3 23 months...he stopped on his own...I would have nursed as log as he wanted! He is 2.5

#4 is 2 months old and going strong! Hoping he goes at least as long as his brother if not longer!

Well, now that you mention it, I've been nursing 1-2 kids at a time for nearly seven years with no break longer than two weeks. My youngest is 8 months old, and will probably nurse for another three or more years, so I'd guess I'll probably go past the 10-year mark before I'm done. Go me!

I voted 3-5 years because tomorrow afternoon marks 3 years to the day of the first time I breastfed

He'll be 3 years old tomorrow and is still nursing many times a day. He shares now with 7 month old baby brother too :

I picked 5-7 years, which included an overlap of a year when I was tandeming.
