What's your favorite trick

to get down the less-than-yummy nutrient dense foods?

butter oil - I can only eat this stuff if I spread it on buttered toast and top it with raw honey. Then it goes from to :

fermented cod liver oil - For me the big trick is to hold my breath while taking the CLO, then chase it with something slightly acidic - usually sweetened kefir or green smoothie. If you can't smell it, you can't taste it.

raw milk - Since I'm not a fan of straight milk, I mix it up in a chocolate-almond butter smoothie.

I still haven't been able to figure out how to do calf liver. I can do chicken liver in a pate with a slice of aged cheese, but calf liver is pretty awful. Anyone have any ideas for that one?

We take the FCLO/BO capsules.

I LOVE raw milk, raw kefir, raw yogurt, raw butter, etc. so that's not an issue.

We're trying organ meats, I even bought some liverwurst from US Wellness meats and seeing as how its not all liver (has some muscle meat in it) I thought I could do it, but nope! So I cut thin slices and fried them in bacon fat. Still no. I might just have to accept a life without organ meats. I don't think we really get the health benefits (well, not all of them) when we gag down a healthy food. I want my food to be a pleasure to eat, not work!

CLO i take with a acid beverage right after to remove the after taste, lol

Raw milk i like, but sometime i sweeten it with a splash of maple syrup or honey if its warm or of course turn it into chocolate milk

As far as organ meats, i havent gotten that far, but i plan on doin LOTS of marinating, seasoning and then cooking in bacon fat (everything taste better with bacon, right? lol).

Its funny, talking of "sweetening" milk, we have recently gone low carb and nearly grain free, which means very low sugar/fruit/honey etc. My tastes have changed so much already that plain milk is so sweet--like dessert! I find after a few ounces of milk I am desperate for some plain kefir!

Here is a tip. If you already take cod liver oil, you do not have to eat liver, unless you are needing it for the iron.

However, one way to eat a bit of it, is to chop it fine and mix 1-2 tbls per cup of grind meat before making something like meatballs or meatloaf. Even spaghetti.
And it works well in sausage.
Liver makes me gag in a big way, but we go ahead and grind all our organ meats at butchering time, and mix them evenly into the grind meat.
Never could tell it was anything other then plain meat.
Even my mother who would have actually thrown up if she had tasted it, could not tell liver was in the meat.

ETA: The thing to remember about eating TF, is that you are not bound to eating everthing that is TF. Its a matter of finding what you and your families bodies need for recovery, and then later on for real living.
