anyone else have reaction to DTap?? - Page 2

Our little guy had a severe reaction to the DTaP, which was bad enough to warrant the doctors never giving it to him nor our other biological child. He ended up screaming for 6+ hours straight, spiking a high fever, and turning blue (probably from all the screaming). Less than two years later, he was diagnosed with autism, but showed signs of autism really early on in infancy (around the time of the shot).

My DSs reaction was the first thing that amde me question vaccinations.

Both of his legs turned bright tomato red and he highpitched screamed for 3 hours straight intermittently passing out in between from exaustion.

Not sure what it is but MIL said that BIL did the exact same thing when he had the DTAP. SHe couldn't understand why I was refusing to take him back for more

When I spoke to the doctor, he told me that it is not considered severe if it doesn't last more than 3 hours.

That was the last vacciantion that DS ever got and he is almost 3.
DD had been fully vaccinated at that point and was not due for anymore for another year now.

This new LO will not be vaccinated at all until at least 2 and then very selective and spaced out.

On WC both my brother and I got it in our childhood years ( me with asthma) and we were both fully vaxed. We are both still standing and healthy.
