I'm so excited!!!! Dd nursing again after 2 month strike!!!!

Ok so I just had to tell someone (besides my mom : ) that after a 2 month nursing strike (dd is 1yr, would only bite not nurse at all) she nursed early this morning and fell back to sleep and again this afternoon and fell asleep for her nap! : : : :

I really struggled the first month with a lot of emotions about all of it as I am pg due in Dec and was planning on tandem nursing not to mention I bf'd ds till he was 2 and loved that bond and relationship we had. After the strike began dd began to display aggressive and jealous behaviors towards her brother and cousins and would bite me all the time.

I stopped working on getting her to bf after a month of constantly trying and being bitten every time and decided to work on our relationship in a different way. This meant finding new ways to have closeness and help get her down for naps and bedtime. Throughout this time dd has displayed a continued interest in bfing or at least being close, the past month I mearly pulled my breast out for her to cuddle up against and she'd fall asleep being comforted by that alone. She's been rooting around the past week or so but once bitten twice shy... it's kinda hard giving it and knowing full well you will be bitten pretty hard (for some reason it's also emotionally disturbing) but she found it on her own this morning and began nursing immediately! I was a little hesitant to give it to her again this afternoon as I had in the first month had a similar thing happen where she nursed at night but then during the day she bit me still. But I went ahead and boom she took to it at nursed again!!!! : : : :

I don't know if any other mommas can relate or not but this is a very wonderful glorious accomplishment for us.

One downside is my nipples are now sore and my milk has to come back in, but if things keep up it wont be an issue for long.

Thanks for reading, I just had to share!

So she's back to nursing all the time and is happy as can be...

One problem though, still no milk...

Any suggestions?
