Avent ISIS iQ DUO - closed system but can't be shared? why not?

So according the various websites, only "closed system" pumps can safely be shared. And according to the description in the packaging, the Avent ISIS iQ DUO is a closed system but it is not FDA approved for multiple users. Can anyone explain why this is?

I have to go back to work in three days. A generous friend gave me this pump (it was hers) and this whole time I thought it was fine because it's a closed system. Now it seems like it might not be fine....any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated!

I've always wondered that too, because it sure seemed to me that the way it was constructed it would be pretty darn safe for multiple users. I'd go for it...though I'm not squeamish about those sorts of things in general.
