What do you love about your Fuzzibunz???

Okay I just special ordered some XS fuzzibunz pockets and I was a little shocked at their appearance. I have heard over and over how wonderful fuzzibunz are and how they stand up to multiple kids etc. They are the only professionally made nappies I have ever seen that looked like I could actually make them myself! And I cant sew to save my life, dont have a machine and have never had the desire even a little to sew my own nappies, but I reckon I could do these no problems.

They cost $30 each, which is on the high end for a pocket. So I guess Im not getting why they are so great, can Fuzzibunz lovers please explain?? Is the beauty in the simplicity? Are they good because they are so simply made that you can repair them easily?

One of the booster stitching is already coming apart after about 3 washes, no big deal I can just hand stitch it up, but Im starting to think I made a bad investment. I keep hearing they are the best...so Im honestly asking, if you love your Fuzzibuns, I want to know why you love them?

$30????!!!!

I thought they retailed for $17 or 18....

Anyways we use the small FB and I don't have the original inserts so all I can say is that they get the job done for us. I like that the legs and waist have separate snaps and the inserts are easy to shake out.

Sorry, in Australia, but pretty much equal in US dollars, we just get charged more regardless of how well the dollar is doing.

The XS only has one row of snaps and a single microfleece liner-nothing to shake out-, so maybe they're different totally in design??

I have only used the medium FB, so I don't know exactly what the XS size is like, but I have read that that size only has one row of snaps. My kids would have fit in XS for about a day and then outgrown them. Did you not receive a terrycloth insert? Just the fleece liner? I thought all FB came with at least one insert, unless it's a 'second' or 'closeout' and then it may not have come with an insert.

The XS FBs only have one row of snaps, include a microfiber insert, and retail for $16.95. The S-L FB have two rows of snaps, include a microfiber insert, and retail for $17.95. What I love about FB is that they last forever, through 3 kids so far for me, are very absorbent, cute and easy to use. I actually really like the simple design of them - very clean and streamlined. There are so many overbuilt diapers these days!

sorry i used so many ?!?! before, it looks ridiculous now.

anywho the only reason mine didn't have inserts was because i bought seconds. the pocket definitely needs to be stuffed though.

and i'm sorry you are getting charged so much down under! boo.

I've never used the XS size, but I've used the small, medium and large. The medium FBs that DD2 is in now have been in use every day since December 2004 and are still going strong on the third kid. They've held up well (only had one or two that ended up with shot elastic) and I've definitely got my money's worth out of them.

Okay, so seems like they must hold up well because of the simple design. I guess there's not too much that can go wrong without too many bells and whistles

They work, so they will get use, I was just surprised by their appearance going by their rave reviews. Thanks mamas

Fuzzibunz are all made in China now.....soooo
While they used to be able to hold up to mulitple children, I don't know if that's true anymore.

I could've sworn I saw on their website recently that they're all made in USA now, but I can't seem to find it now, so maybe I was looking somewhere else.

Anyway, I hope they're not made in China now. I've used FB for both of mine and they were just so easy I was hoping to use them again.

ok - I can't find the same blurb on their website, but lots of retailers have this:

"The newly designed diapers, now made exclusively in the U.S.A., have stretchier elastic around the legs to better hug baby's curves, noticeably larger tabs for a better grip and to better prevent sagging, and updated top stitching for added reinforcement of seams."

I'm pretty sure since its the same wording and pictures, it comes from FB for the retailers to sell FBs. I used to be a retailer ages ago.

If you have different info, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!

I used the xs old style FB for my big newborn for about a month. I LOVED the xsmalls, they were the only diaper that fit him well and kept him dry. Well, no, I liked the xsmall thirsties AIOs with a hemp insert too when he was tiny. I never liked the whole prefolds/kissaluvs thing.

I've also heard the diapers are now going to be made in China. I don't see anything on the Mother of Eden website, but I am pretty sure I saw it mentioned on their old Facebook page. They recently created a new page and I think the old one is gone now.
