If anyone has any links or even a list of studies which excluded premature/low birth weight babies, would you please post it or PM me.

Thank you very much. Am trying to help a cousin w/ a 35wker.

It depends on the trial/study and the vaccine. But the common line that vaccines are not studied in premature infants is completely false:

http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/result...cine+premature

You can also see more on google scholar by searching "vaccine premature infant."

Go to clinicaltrials.gov and look at phase 2-4 for pretty much any vaccine and you will see that most studies done to approve a vaccine are on healthy kids, others are excluded. However, for many, you will found some that were done on premies.

example:

http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/N...rm=DtaP&rank=1

Inclusion Criteria :

* Two month old infant (50 to 71 days old) on the day of inclusion, of either gender
* Born at full term of pregnancy (>=37 weeks) and with a birth weight >=2.5 kg
