EC at night (my choice, not hers)

My daughter will be 12 months old next month and I'd really like to start offering the potty at night again. The problem is that unless she's WIDE awake, she wants nothing to do with it.

A couple months back I had no problems getting her to pee when she woke up in the middle of the night, but now all she only patially wakes up and all she wants to do is cuddle. She USED to wake up dry, and now she wakes up with a HEAVY diaper.

I do cue her if I feel her pee during our cuddles, but even changing her diaper seems to upset her.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to potty her without waking her up completely? I have noticed that when she needs to pee, she will squirm a bit, then roll over onto her belly and pee with her knees up.

We do not co-sleep (though she is in a twin bed and sometimes I sleep with her), so when she wakes up she will crawl to her doorway (babygate) and call for me.

Ideas?

I wish I had some advice, but I'm in/been in the same boat. DS is 20 months and will only pee on the potty if wide awake. He has the same behavior/position while sleeping when he needs to pee. Possibly on the encouraging side, he's been dry at night the much of the time since he was 5 or 6 months. Its mostly night-wettin phases for him - so you daughter might return on her own to being dry through the night. He hates sleeping in a wet diaper, so he ends up crying b/c he needs to or just peed, then we change the diaper. Something about sitting on a potty or toilet makes him tense up though so then it takes him 10-30 minutes to empty his bladder.

I hope other mommas have some good recommendations.
