Well, and possibly killed my squash, and then proceeded to eat it's way through all my bean plants in very short order. I've never seen this particular beastie before, but this is my first year gardening in this area.

The bug was bright yellow, about the size of a pill bug, and had multiple legs. It was not an aphid. I didn't see many of them and didn't recognize it as destructive at first. However, in about 3 days time it totally killed my tomato plants, leaving a dry brown lacy leaf on the plant and a dead plant. I think they killed my gourd vines.

Another bug is eating my green leafy plants - lettuce, cabbage, etc. Something that looks almost like a gnat - small, brown,a nd jumps or flies when distrubed.

Any idea what these two pests might be?

My garden is basically done for the year. I am going out Tuesday to take it all down (community garden plot). Oh well.
