DD now poops only once every 2-4 days

and I suspect there's no diapering system on earth that would contain that poop! But if I'm wrong, please tell me about it

Right now we just use plain old prefolds w/ snappi and cover, which, when she was a newborn and we had a trial of several different options, was the only system that contained newborn poop for us.

Have you tried a fitted diaper with a good cover? I'd go PUL, to avoid having to clean wool, for the cover! How much does she weigh? That might help in recommending reliable fitteds. In general, though, I'd look for fitteds with elastic at the back, and maybe even in the front, depending on where all it goes.

Having both a fitted diaper and a cover should give you two "lines of defense" to keep it all in!

I'll second the recommendation to try fitteds. Having the elastic at the waist and legs makes a huge difference from even a pinned or snappied PF.

Truth be told, sometimes there are super poops that no diaper on earth will contain, and that's just the way it is....lol.

Thanks for the recommendations! I would guess she's 13-14 lbs now--she was over 12 at her last appointment.
