Anyone else here after infertility?

After 6 cycles of Clomid, an HSG (I think that was the kicker for us since it was done earlier this cycle) and many natural cycles, DH and I are absolutely terrified and petrified to be here. We both feel so lucky to have gotten here on Clomid alone (next cycle we were going to get a referral to an RE for IUI's w/injectible) but are holding our breaths each day to make sure this bean sticks.

For us, IF treatments are covered by insurance.... but success after IF is determined by a pregnancy, not a live birth to be deemed eligible for treatment. If we lose this bean, then the 12-month clock of "trying" gets reset and it's another year of Clomid (we have MFI issues and need every extra eggy I can pop out) before I even step foot in the RE's office.... to go through all the rollercoaster of IF, lose the baby, and then have "the wall" put back up in our face for another year is almost too much to take....

Anyone else here BTDT?

Me, Me, Me, well, not this time around, but secondary IF when TTC'ing Bodie. It took 21 months, 3 miscarriages, 9 rounds clomid, 1 round gonal-f, 2 IUI's, 1 hysteroscopy w/polypectomy, and Bodie was conceived on 200mg clomid. Good Luck mama!!!

Me! 5+ years of trying with severe MFI due to chemotherapy. We were sucessful with IVF. It's not paid for here at all. My drug plans covered about $1000 of my drugs but the additonal $4000 for drugs plus the $7000 for IVF and ICSI were not covered. Ouch.

:

We thought IVF w/ICSI was going to have to be our route... we got a miracle on DH's 3% normal morph swimmers with the Clomid and the HSG. DH and I feel so so SO blessed to have Massachusetts insurance because they have some of the best IF coverage (except for that stupid m/c clause...) How are your beta's turning our so far?

Yep, this time it was without meds. I really think the polyp was causing my miscarriages and other issues (severe cramping and bleeding with AF) because it was being bumped but staying attached. Of course, they can reccur at anytime, but I've been lucky so far (it's been less than 2 yrs since removal). Good Luck mama, I hope this is a sticky bean for you!!!!

My clinic does one beta at 16 days past transfer only unless there is concern. So that was 19 dp retreival for me. Mine was 611. They say that's a bit higher than average for a singleton but low for twins. I'll find out september 16th for sure at my 8 week scan.

DH had super high morph and motility but only 75,000 sperm in total with his last test. You're really lucky to get your positive with those low numbers. You must be thrilled!

Hi, Me too. We've been trying to two years (mostly with clomid and IUIs) and have had a D&C for polyps and one miscarriage. We're cautiously optimistic.

4 years, 1 surgery, countless drugs....

and I got pregnant on an "off" unmedicated cycle! Just hoping I can stay that way. I had a miscarriage about 10 weeks 2 years ago. Just had my first hcg test and good way high numbers so keeping my fingers crossed they double for tomorrow's test. Thanks for starting this thread!

Wow, what a journey you've had to get here... hard won shouldn't also have to be hard kept

DH and I definitely still in the "cautiously optimistic" stage too... I had to go out and buy my first pieces of maternity clothing last week because nothing fits already and I had a panic attack thinking I was going to jinx myself. I'm hoping all of us here STAY here!
