A friend of mine had her first child a couple years ago, and while she was pregnant (didn't know the gender), I gave her tons of information about circumcision, and made myself available to answer any questions.
She felt kind of intuitively against circ, but her husband was refusing to look at any of the information and said that he wanted it done if it was a boy. She basically figured she would ask her doctor what he recommended after the baby was born, and my heart just broke, knowing what he would say (we live in a hugely pro-circ area!) Imagine my elation when it was a girl!
Well, she is pregnant again, and this time they know it's a boy. I peacefully sent her this video and said that I just needed to know that I had given her the information she would need to make such a decision.
Well, she emailed me back today and said no worries, they've decided NOT to circ!!!
: Best of all, they came to this conclusion on their own, and her husband was much more open to discussion this time around. He faced the logic of how a man's body is made to work a certain way, and that it must be there for a reason.
While I'd like to think I had something to do with planting a seed in them, I honestly don't care how they came to the decision, I'm just overjoyed to know that they did! Hooray for another boy being spared!

Is there such a thing as a Congrats-on-Keeping-Your-Foreskin party?!?
