I just got my Pampered Chef starter kit and I'm so excited! It's like Christmas!
Ds is jumping up and down and wants to cook.

We are going to make spinach & cheese crescent moons (reduced fat crescent rolls filled with spinach and cheddar.)

I watched Eastwick today. I liked it. I will definitely keep up with it. I didn't realize that it is a remake. I'll go check netflix and put it on my que.

DOK- I remember getting my starter kit for Pampered Chef quite a few years ago! It was so much fun!! I'm not doing it anymore, but I remember the feeling quite well.

Ooooh, that would feel like christmas!
I feel like that whenever we go to IKEA...I love just wandering through the kitchen department.

I had no idea that Eastwick had been made into a series...that's what happens when you don't have/watch tv. I went online today to watch the pilot (thanks for mentioning that it was available online!)

I liked it, it seems like it has alot of potential. I only vaguely remember the movie, wasn't Jack Nicholson and Cher, oh and Michelle Pfieffer in it? Who was the third woman?

Ah, I'd google it but I have dinner cooking and must go.

peace all,

I gues i am asking if anyone has ideas on something simple or websites (there are too many it sort thru them all) w/ideas. He's norse- I am more earth/energy based. My mom is druid/celtic/wicca and bff in celtic and norse wiccan if that helps.

TIA
Congrats, I was married in November, not on the 13th but it is a special month to me. I was going to suggest witchvox too, but I think clay had great ideas, might use them for our 20th anniversary.

I don't think that it's a series that will make purist viewers cry 'foul,' but it needs more grip than what I saw to really hang on for a few more seasons. I'll still watch it happily.

I will watch it again, and I agree with you Vojerleda.

Ok, for me I did something brave. I put a Pagan sticker on my car. Might not seem like much, but in my small town it is bound to raise some eyebrows.

One thing I liked about Eastwick, I wish my town was like that. That community would be fantastic to live in!

Thank you Emilee!!!

No going home news for baby Niles today. He had to go for an echcardiogram because they believe they detected a heart murmur, additionally his bmom is having some PPH and must stay at least another day. We got the pics taken at the hosp and the bmom helped and picked some out. We had a great visit and he is a hungry little fellow! There are some concerns with the bdad. SO we are just on pins and needles.

Me and my dp are getting hitched soon- Fri Nov 13th to be exact! Really excited about the date! at first it was weird feeling but now I am really feeling comfortable and right in the date. All important dates in our lives have centered around pagan holidays.

Welcome to the group Your history of dates up there is rather amusing & cool Re: handfasting.. congrats!!!!! But you're getting married, so there's not much chance that you WON'T be the centre of attention that day, sorry But you could make it more a family affair by getting other people involved and making it feel more like a group thing than just you two with a spotlight on ya. If you have quarter/elemental altars, you could get other 'pagan minded' family members to bestow the quarter blessings on your marriage instead of you having to do it (or the celebrant can of course) Then all you have to do is either walk the circle or turn around in place

I don't think a handfasting has to be a long drawn out ritual either, when we eventually do ours (I'm thinking on our 10th, which is 2011) the actual ceremony will be the briefest part of the day lol.

I'm bad about that too If something is on special, MUST.stock.up!!!

I bounce between the Dr Sears "your child's tantrum doesn't reflect on your parenting" and the scene in the Addams Family where Morticia gives her kiddo a bigger knife after taking the smaller one away. Depending on the moment, I swing towards different options!
Thanks I needed that! I hope the padded room is for MEEEEEEEEE lol.

that sucks!

Who was it that suggested the epsom salt bath soak? I took one last night and it was so nice & relaxing I stayed in it for a good long time visualizing all the ICK being pulled through my pores and then being sucked away down the drain when I pulled the plug. I certainly felt more human after that at least Still coughed all.night.long but oh well... maybe I need another bath today hehehe. With a glass of wine, cause alcohol is bacteriacidal and all that

I'm still taking it easy because just about everything sends me into coughing fits, dh is just sure I'm getting pneumonia again but I refuse to take that on board AT all! I will pop over to camp and give a shot at participating though

My daughter has started saying, "this is boring". Is this part of being 7 almost 8? I have never heard her say that before.

Aweyn- ouch, feel better!

Handfasting- I am reading with much excitement, cause we want to do a handfasting for our 10th anniversary.

I guess I forgot to post here today. Probably due to my depressed/hormonal meltdown the first half of the day. Anyway, I am doing a bit better now.

Today is my parents 26th wedding anniversary. They just left for dinner dressed up (Mom is wearing my clothes lol) and I am hoping they bring me back food. I am in awe of them, after 26 years they are still so in love. They worked through their 2 times of wanting a divorce and still stick it out with each other. They are my example, even if its flawed.

I have a job interview at a local car dealership tomorrow as a sales person. Its a job and I need one. My Dad is not thrilled, he's a mechanic and very much dislikes care sales people.

Congrats Heather on the new baby, if I haven't said it already.

to all.

that be me. or, rather, my grandmother thru me, lol. i used mine all up today on the bee sting. cant believe i of all people ran out! usually there's at least one extra 5 lb bag in the hall closet...

ds and i have been watching fall videos on youtube-- cider making and falling leaves... ahhh....

hugs and vibes to all!
Hugs back atcha Bella. Hope the night is a good one.

bee stings- ouch! Baking soda and water to make a paste on the sting site can help (if anyone else discovers they are out of epsom salts ). Maybe the universe is drawing your attention to the "ring situation" as well?

Tonight is supposed to be in the 40s, but tomorrow it may drop below freezing! Ack!

Hey, they are not a flawed example.. they are a REALISTIC example! Not the fairy tale fake ideal that most people have in their minds where the happy couple never has a bump in the road. Happy anniversary to them Glad you are feeling a little better, good luck with your interview.

We need positive energy, please!

Just spent many hours in the ER with Roo. They gave me a referral to a pediatric cardiologist that I need to call on Friday (today, since it's 1:39am here).

6 yr olds should not have to experience chest/heart pain.
Oh my DoK, I sincerely hope it turns out to be nothing. I take it they did the ecg etc? Was he stressed out or possibly having a panic attack? (I haver seriously thought I was having a heart attack myself once but it turned out to be the first of many panic attacks Will think positive thoughts your way
post #480 of 595
EKG was ok. Xray (heart) was ok. He was not anxious, he was happy and just settling down to go to bed.

Calling the cardiologist this morning.
