I'll second Papa. The NP at my sperm bank says that most OB/GYNs get only a hours in medschool about fertility. Whereas for REs, it's all they do. An RE should be very familiar w PCOS.
Beastie, welcome!
Megincl, will want to hear how your IVF cycle goes!
Lyndzies, you have lots of good signs. My boobs got huge each time before a positive. Fingers are crossed.
Cejae's right, it's hard to not obsess. Our fertility journey has already taken 1 year, and I'm realizing it may take several more. Therefore, I'm trying to take a less month-by-month obsessive perspective. Easy to say, until I start up the daily injections and bi-daily ultrasounds again!
AFM: It was definitely a chemical pregnancy. Low low HCG levels, no rise for a week, then they rose a bit, so we had a little "You need a D&C" scare. Maybe the poor little 'bro botched the implantation, then wouldn't let go? Fortunately, the HCG finally dropped, so the doc is no longer using "scrape" and "your uterus" in the same sentence. Whew. I'm such a wuss.
The good news is, we're starting a brand-new IVF cycle, to harvest some fresh eggies. I have some iffy-grade embryos on ice, but while we still have insurance, we're going to do our damndest to make some pretty 'bros.
Which reminds me, I gotta order some sperms.
