P&H - Yeah, definitely - once you start TTC (and then once you get pg), you're in a whole different part of your life - especially for those of us who weren't interested until then. LOL

I am so happy it is September already! Although I can't really believe how fast time is flying for me. I am almost 22 wks!

And I finally found an OB worth keeping! : Had my first visit today and was so pleasantly shocked that I have been jubilant all day long!

Anyways, gotta run. I have a couple of very tired, very crabby little ones right now.

Jenny, glad you found an OB you like! That's so important. I stuck with the OB I've used for the last 15 years, but wish I had looked around more in the beginning (too late now, lol). They've been okay the last few visits and I've canceled quite a few visits because I feel they are a waste of time, but I'm glad to be almost done at this point.

not too much new here - 8 weeks yesterday - my queeziness seems a little more manageable lately for some reason. maybe it's just that i'm pushing back a little more, and i haven't actually puked, so it seems better? i get nervous when i DON'T have it, kwim?

getting really excited about our trip, but i hope i'm not exhausted the whole time! we won't have a car for the first week in seattle and portland, and plan to do what we usually do, walk a lot, take public transit, not spend much time where we're staying..... we'll see

how wonderful for you. i had my first appointment on monday. not with the OB (yet), but with the midwife who works in his office. i had a great feeling about her and we got along quite well. she was very laid back and easy to talk to. i had a c-section with my first, but am planning a vbac this time around. she assured me that she and the OB are supportive of my having a vbac and are completely on board with me. she asked the circumstances of my c-section (fetal distress) and said i'm the perfect candidate for vbac and that there's no reason i won't be successful in having one. this definitely set my mind at ease, but i'm still slightly wary. i've heard plenty of stories of women who had doctors who were on board with their vbac and then, with six weeks to go (or less), said they be more comfortable with a repeat c. i just don't want that to happen to me. i was seriously considering a homebirth for this very reason. i'm just not sure.

anyway, i digress. so glad you found an OB you're happy with.

By the way I will be 36 at time of delivery too.

I really thought I was going to go into labor last night. The baby was really low and I had a lot of pressure, I could just feel him moving and pressing down and wanting out. I called my midwife ... and she never called me back. I took a hot shower and finally went to sleep. I kept telling the baby ... I'm not ready yet!!!

I would have been very upset if my MW (or OB) did not return the call. I do hope you heard from her by now. If you are getting really close, you had better get ready, babies tend to do their own thing! They really do like to inconvenience you at times.

I remember with my third child (my first son), he WOULD NOT COME! No matter what I did. I waited and waited. The EDD passed by. Contrations came and went. And he would not come. I "started" labor FOUR times, and it just stopped. I was so frustrated. My first came at 36 wks, my second came at 40 wks. I was not prepared to have a "late" baby. So, I fnally gave up and told him to just stay where he was. I agreed to take a trip that had been planned for after the birth, even though I had not birthed yet. And, yep, you guessed it. He was born an hour after we arrived! I guess he just wanted to be born somewhere else! (Good thing I was "HBing" and had all my stuff with me.)

Hey mamas!
I'm 26 weeks today, cannot believe I am in my last trimester now. Where did the time go? I have been so busy moving and now settling into a house, renovating, I feel a little guilty for not paying more attention to my growing belly. I do think about the birth, but only for fleeting seconds here and there. Most often my mind skips immediately to " I should really find a carpenter for the laundry room reno" or "I hope the flooring guy shows up today". I do think this is my last pregnancy so I want to pay more attention and cherish it a bit more than I have.

we're leaving on our vacation today, so excited!

I just turned 38 Sep 1st and I just found out baby #4 is coming. I took 2 tests this morning, both +. Very surprised but very happy.

sajuse - welcome to the group. I saw your other post about determining your EDD. I would probably wait until you have an u/s. that's how the doctor finally believed me that my EDD was sooner than what they thought it was. I don't ovulate regularly and my AFs are only 2-3 weeks apart and they were basing my EDD on 4 weeks between AFs which was not true for me and my u/s proved I was right.

This is our first child.... Im my previous marriage we tried for over 10 years to get PG and did 12 assisted cycles including 3 IVF/ICISI cycles.

Divorced and now am pleasantly surprised for an accident pregnancy with the love of my life!
