I saw these in a natural toy catalog I received, and they seem like they would be a great cover, and aren't are priced well. I'm just wondering if they're a good cover in general?

hi!
i have a few- i like them, they are soft, and i like how they come up high over ds's torso to keep him warm. they are 2 layers of merino wool- but...they are thin, and if you have a super soaker you may want to pass. if you do not have a ss- they do work well for day use when you change frequently. i find myself washing them more than say my lanacare, disana or sbish wool. i also find that they need to be lanolized a few times to work really well.
i do like them despite the downfalls. they are cute, and if you live in a cold climate they would probably work well under a pair of wool pants- like the sbish, disana overalls or lanacare pants.
hth!
oh, and they do run kind of small. ds fit into the 1-2 year with a little growing room at 6 months. at a year he still fits into this size, but the next size up would most likely be a better fit.
