I'm in... I'm going to post a list of goals and hopefully I'll finish that and be able to do another one.

1. Organize closet of business stuff
2. Organize shelf in office
3. Make up timetable calendar for in office to keep everything we do straight
4. Reorganize all school materials for the year
5. Clean out and organize cupboards in kitchen

Those are my first five

I love nesting! It's so much easier to get things cleaned when you are obsessed!! I am getting a lot done. I did stuff that wasn't even on this list too, like buy new glasses (been putting that one off for about 8 years, lol!) and I cleaned the family room carpet. Still have the living room and hallway carpets to do, though. Here is my goal post with updates:

However, the first little girl was "late," so I am thinking I will have at least 3 weeks. My dd starts kindergarten tomorrow... well today, and it's full day, so I will be needing projects. Plus, I am nesting and already tackled many of the major projects.

1. Finish the nursery. Have 1 panel of wallpaper border to fix, some random "stuff" to clear out and organize all of the baby stuff.

I fixed the wall paper and put the sheets on the crib today. Still have some junk on the floor... maternity clothes I am no longer using, etc..

2. Set up a changing/baby stuff station downstairs.

Finished this and also put sheets in the cradle downstairs

3. Clean my room and hook up the co=sleeper. Have older dd on a mattress in my room and will have to do some rearranging to make room for everyone. My dresser is cluttered and I have about 5 baskets of laundry to put away.

DONE!!

4. Papers, papers, papers!

Awwww, do I really have to do this? Whine, whine, whine! I hate paper! lol!

5. Figure out how I want to store my craft supplies so I can re-claim the dining room table. Kid crafts need to be easier to access so we can use them more.

Maybe tomorrow. Maybe

6. Declutter as much as humanly possible while the urge is soooooooo strong and I really don't feel the attachment to the stuff.

I got rid of 3 pairs of shoes today and some other stuff too, but I've lost track

That's quite a list, but I think I can do it if baby cooperates and stays put for a while.

We moved 2 weeks ago and have a HUGE shortage of furniture for the new apt. Therefore many boxes of things really just have no where to go until we can buy an armoire, a couple sets of drawers and some shelves. That purchase will be made around the middle of the month.
So... until then I 'm decluttering and organizing around the boxes.

1) DD's armoire to organize and declutter (2nd round- the after move round)
Got the socks done today! Maybe a couple shelves tomorrow?

2) Decorating: Hanging pictures and photos. Also started on that today. I need a plant for my plant hanger. This one is kinda hard at the moment too because I don't know where all the new furniture will go.

3) Further organizing of my bedroom closet. Continuing my 2nd round of decluttering clothes. This one is soo hard for me.... but I have slowely been letting go of a couple of things each time! Baby steps!

4) Go through the 3 Miscellaneous stuff boxes and do 2nd round.

5) Try to keep putting away as I go.... I've been trying to grab something everytime I leave a room.
Worked on #1 today, didn't really declutter, but I organized a lot. Need to still unpack her fall clothes.
Worked very little on #2 today. Put up some wall stickers in DD's room.

That's about it so far... lots more to do

* Get the baby girl clothes out of the house.
I'm just waiting to hear from my sister in law on Friday. Then I can split up among 3 or 4 folks.

* Set up DD's new room.
So far, the dresser is in there. I ordered curtains this morning. More furniture will probably get moved tonight.

* Get my closet organized.
No progress yet.

* Organize the kitchen better.
Hmm. I'm not hopeful on this one.

* Watch and swap my movies.
Shipping out two today! A drop in the bucket, but progress!

very inspiring. i'm already on the 'what have you accomplished' thread but i need more help it is likely that we leave canada (our old place in my folks house) for england (our house for the last year) in a couple of weeks, so i need to finish a number of things.

1. put all the discs into the large disc book/file, in some kind of order.

2. sort through old information cd's, store important files, hopefully recycle the rest.

3. find a home or give up and throw in the garbage, a large box of art (that would be art school detritus, ten years old )

3.5. sort through a basket of miscellaneous and impossible to decide upon stuff.

4. give away the car seat

5. give away/sell off the slightly outdated tech books (50+!) - ANY TIPS?

6. file papers

7. choose last objects to take to london

8. reorganise filing cabinet + drawer

9. declutter and reorganise bookshelf

10. pack!

hopefully the exposure will motivate me, too

Mine -

1. Finish DS's play area organization including baskets for toys - Done
2. Address top four book shelves in above mentioned play area

3. Install software and find home (within our house) for DS's key board and my printer, both of which have been sitting in the dining room for at least 3 months.

4. Clean out laundry room - Done

5. Remove the "extra" stuff from the living room. (this is a biggie)
Well, I haven't addressed anything else on the list but I did go through all of DS's summer and winter clothing and have three boxes to pass along to the nephew of a friend.

I had to really push myself on getting rid of last years winter stuff as there were a few things that sort of, but not really, fit that certainly would not have fit DS within a month or two.

The boxes leave the house tomorrow. :

Checking back in, my one goal was to clean out the garage and not much progress has been made since we started a remodel of our bathroom. I think it might be getting worse in there. I do plan to take all recyclable papers to be dropped off this afternoon.

In one of my threads, I talked about my acceptance that stealth decluttering is the only way the house stuff is going to be addressed.

My actions may be uncovered by DH today

I took a book of toys and books to preschool this morning. There is a Free table where one can place any sort of usable item.

I took cr*ppy, freebie toys DS never played with as well as some baby-ish books that he never looked at. Absolutely NOTHING in this pile has any emtional attachments what so ever.

Anyway, DH picks up DS from preschool and will walk right past this table. I am dying with curiousity to see if he recognizes anything.

Ok this isn't *exactly* on my list. But in our living room we had my poang chair (which the kids have stained and has two RED marker stripes on the wood ) and a very dingy looking couch. This thing just did not hold up well to 3 small boys, it looked awful and every time I looked in the living room It just looked depressing!

I hit evilbay and found a 3pc living room set (2x2seater couches & one chair) that are very simple (sorta like the lilberg one from Ikea, which I like!) wooden framed /rattan inserts with separate cushions. I wasn't in love with the fabric & figured I'd recover eventually (thank goodness this isn't a frugality thread) but hubby just got it home and it looks.GREAT!!! It fits the room well, and the blue in the floral print even looks nice with the dk. blue carpet I love my lounge room again! And the boys can't stain the arms of them, and I can wash the covers.. all for the bargain price of 50bucks!!!!

So while I haven't done a lot on my list yet, I did declutter one big ugly sofa that made me sad to look at

getting to my list: I have started moving towels & sheets to the room where they get used, which makes more sense really, and am emptying the shelves in the large linen cupboard to house my craft supplies :

This afternoon I'm repurposing a bookcase from the little guys room (he's 3, the idea was it would hold toys neatly this did not occur) into the living room and will start bringing books in to fill it.

Hope everyone is feeling as great about their progress as I am! : :

Just off the top of my head I want to:

* declutter some of MY clothes
* get the previously decluttered clothes of the boys out of my closet
* Actually do something with the books that are filling the shelves in the top of 2 bedroom closets (need a bookshelf srsly)
* thin out the not really played with, but always scattered around, toys of the 3 boys
* find a way to organize my craft supplies so I can USE them
*declutter all holey ratty towels... then buy new ones as this will leave us with about 2

These aren't decluttering or organizing exactly.. but will make me feel better about my house
* hang pictures/art that hasn't been done since we moved in.. in April :
*will be back to add more .. must cook dinner :

im so happy! my landlady stopped by yesterday with news that she is putting in a brand new just bought stove into my house today. the one i have been living with the last 2 months was installed in the 60's and its falling apart, dangerous and she said that she was never going to replace it... i was manifesting so hard to get even a different old stove, but it is built in and she really didnt want to ruin how it looked (horrible imo) but alas, she said she is toired of hearing my b%tching and complaining (of which i really have done none of) so, yay! come tomorrow i will have a new stove and can get back to baking bread! and i got a new to me but gently used fridge (the other one was the matching pair to the stove..brown and retro and dying) just the other day which is just wonderful. stuff actually freezes in the freezer and doesn't in the fridge! :manifesting really does work.

The kids are gone for the day and tore through their bedroom. I just did it in January but it didn't stay neat long. Today, I pulled out two big black garbage bags of clothes that were too junky to donate, broken toys and just trash. I boxed up a large box of toys to sell at the garage sale. I pulled out the outgrown clothes from their closet, put all the Legos and train tracks and books back in their spots, and let me tell you, it's looking so much better in there!

Next up, all the laundry from under the bed and the bottom of the closet.

I think I'm in nesting mode today! I'm trying to get lots of laundry done, cause that's something that's hard for me to hand over to DH post birth.

* Get the baby girl clothes out of the house.
PROGRESS! I've got them sorted and boxed! I'll take some to work tomorrow, another set goes to neighbors, and another set will go home with my Mom post birth.

* Set up DD's new room.
PROGRESS! Books, shelves, stuffed animals are moved in. Curtains are still in the hands of FedEx.

* Get my closet organized.
No progress yet.

* Organize the kitchen better.
(Kind of giving up on this.

* Watch and swap my movies.
No progress. I figure I'll have 'time' post baby... I'd rather get the laundry done.

cleaned out and cleaned the shelves in the fridge.
decluttered out grown clothes of dd2, dragged out the next size.

Need to:

-declutter pantry
-organize pantry area with appliances etc
-clean out and eat from freezer and start "feeding it" again. Then we will eat out of it until the mid winter when the beef arrives.
-organize and create a better bill paying, budgeting book. I have outgrown my current ways.

we are remodeling our master bath and closet. I cannot wait to put our closet back together!!
So to quote myself:

I have:
-declutterd the pantry and made a list of what we need
-large freezer is cleaned out and ready to have meals frozen plus our whole hog butchered in early Nov then our beef in Feb
-cleaned out kitchen smaller freezer and found all kinds of little extras. With the found frozen chicken bones, I took all the little finds and dumped in my large stockpot and making a huge vat of stock to freeze into servings I need.

Still working on the bill paying calendar! I kind of am using the no spend challenge to assist me with what our family really needs.

put in our new closet organization system. While putting back, we took out stuff not worn anymore or shoes that needed to be passed on or thrown out from wear and tear.

Results of covert decluttering effort - SUCCESFUL! : Neither DS or DH noticed the stuff on the Free table.
