Apparently he was unloading the dishwasher and broke my Star Trek Uhura glass.. and didn't even tell me..

My 4 year old saw it happen and when I got home dp ran out the door for work and then the 4yo woke up from his nap and spilled the beans..

I think something is in order... hmmmm... thinking thinking.

So, what's the punishment going to be???

I'm not sure which is worse .. him breaking it and not telling you or you being enough of a star trek fan to have a glass

Can you find a replacement on ebay? And make dp buy you multiples in case of future breakage?

It was a Burger King promotion from this summer. There was 1 of 4 different characters, Kirk, Nero, Spock, and Uhura.. they came out the time of the movie release. I think they were $3? each?

Dp had gone to a couple of different BKs to find the complete set for me, but three of my boys each adopted one and being the only girl, of course Uhura came to me..

But I TEACH science fiction.. not have an Uhura glass? Seems like blasphemy.

ETA: I also have an Enterprise coffee cup and REALLY want the Enterprise desk lamp, but have to wait to find an affordable one, but I sure was looking around last Christmas.. a glass is so just a drop in the bucket. Seriously.

Not sure yet.. I think it might have to be profound. If security didn't have a problem with it I would make him deliver my lunch to me at school dressed like a wookie.. that would be funny.

Yeah, I ordered another one.. I hope it gets here in one piece.. they are MUCH more $$ than they were this summer already though.. I KNEW I should have bought multiple sets when dp found a store that still had them instock..

Did you know that Will Riker's character was raised in Alaska? It is fictional of course, but still cool .. I knew there was a reason I liked him besides his incredible good looks.

I can relate! I have to have my coffee every morning in my Captain Sisko mug. I don't know what I'd do if it were to break, because it's 10+ years old and would be expensive to replace... over $20 with shipping on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Star-Trek-Deep-S...3286.m20.l1116

I've been wishing for the Starfleet Academy titanium spork, but I can't get myself to shell out the $20.

Sorry about your glass!

LOL when I read the post about the spork, the lightsaber chopsticks immediately came to mind! Then I scroll down and see it's already posted

I'm seriously going to have to buy those chopsticks for DH for Christmas!

Science Fiction is an English elective credit. It is a semester long genre study- same as if someone took a "Shakespeare" class.. just different topic.

They were kind of "the rage" in the 70s/80s but are making a comeback in many school districts.

Lightsaber chopsticks

The Yoda ones are the kid size. Must get them for sushi-loving 2yo DS2!

I learnt about them from The Dark Lord himself on Twitter.
