Very low day

Thread Starter
I had a very low day.

I am not happy, I yelled, even hit and then cried and cried, together with ds1, 3.5 y and ds2, 9 mo, started crying too.

It was because I told ds1 over and over, that he could not use a pen when writing on the sofa, that writing should be done on the table, then he got angry and made a penstripe on the couch.

I wanted to take the pen, he hold on and landed on the ground, hard, he cried, I tried to calm him, he got more angry, the earpitching sound made me furious and I hit him, not really hard, but still, I feel so awfull.

I DO NOT WANT TO USE THIS when dealing with issues!

How do I make sure, I REMEMBER THIS DAY?

How did you do that?

TIA

Happens to the best of us mama. I don't have really any advice for you, but I wanted to say that Windex gets pen out of couches.

How will you remember this day? Very vividly actually. As far as not doing it again, it will be one step at a time. Everyone has parenting moments they wished they'd never done. (Regret and guilt seem to be issued to Mom's when they have kids.) But you know that's not the Mom you want to be and you'll be able to remember each day what kind of Mom you do want to be.

: I don't have kids, but I still remember slapping my little brother on the face when he and I were kids. Never did it again. Not with him, not with any other kids.

He doesn't remember at all.

Just because you did it once, doesnt make you bad a bad person. Resolving never to do it again, that makes you a better person.
If the windex doesnt work, try hairspray.
