Hellish day :-(

Hello.....

Okay, Hellish day here....

ds2 is 9 mo, I EC with him, and he sometimes with me ;-) since he was 4 mo.

He is teething, I know, but omg...................:

He always lets me know, when he needs to poop.
He always does it when waking up, or 1/2 hours later.

Did this today too.

Then I thought, because he is refusing the potty and all the other spots and is teething, to let him be naked bum, he has a bad rash too, due to the elastic from the covers? (is reallllllly red :-( )

Anyway: 6!!!!! pees on the floor, no warning, nothing, just splashiing around and being happy and curious.... I tried to be happy about it, sometimes "psssss"ing and saying: you peed, yeah!!

Okay, so, I am loading the washingmachine, I think, he, funny smell, he is standing next to me: no warning, no sound: PPPOOOOPING???? Really a lot!
All overthe bathroom floor, like no end to it! Trying to let him finish on the potty, he signals (well, stands up) that he is done: yeah, right.!!!! he poops just more and more next to me!!

And he did this 3 times today!! In the living room (woodfloor) and I am soooo tired of it! I mean, the only thing is I saved on cloth diapers today, but this is no fun :-(

How to handle this? Putting on nappies? His rash is BAD... :-(
Think due to teething?

He bites me a lot too.....

Seriously, this is weird, no sound, no fussing.... well, in the carrier he fusses, but then he was fully dressed, we were in a shop, NO chance of him peeing in a potty then! So he got no pottytunity then and I felt BAD>.....

How to proceed??

He is not ECing at night, he has a reallllly heavy, wet diaper in the morning!

TIA

V

Sorry, no real advice here except to take it easy on yourself. My dd had TERRIBLE rashes when she was teething--the drool makes the pee/poop more acidic or something. We diapered through it ('cause I couldn't be chill with all the misses, and we didn't even have your poop problem!...we did offer the potty still, just used diapers as backup), and I just changed her asap. Even when I would WHISK the diaper off of her just after she peed, it would still turn her butt red. Poor babies. Teething is no fun. I DEFINITELY did a victory dance when the last of her teeth popped through!

ps: it sounds like you are handling it really well. Go easy on yourself. Teething is hard work--for you and for ds!

sorry you had such a hard day.
My dd is 8 months and teething and although we haven't had the poop issue yet the phantom pee w/ a suddon splashing sound is happening a lot. We had a very very wet day here. Luckily it is still warm and I just leave her naked. It is a lot easier to clean up her pee puddle then to deal w/ changing and washing a wet diaper. I am hoping this will pass.
Hang in there.
Maybe you could use a prefold w/ a belt and put it on loose. That might let him air out a bit but contain some poop when it comes.

the poo sounds like he's got a tummy bug or something, if that volume is not usual for him, which it sounds like it's not, i would suspect that he's ill. and i do think the rash is probably from teething, or at least my kiddos always got rashes from teething.

if you need to diaper for your sanity, then diaper, and just be mindful to change him right away so it doesn't make the rash worse, which i'm sure you already are. 9-11 months was the hardest time for us EC'ing with baby #3, who was the only one EC'd from birth. it will get better!

Maybe not a bug, but I think the raisins were the "bad"thing.... I found them all intact in the poop....

He just started solids, like 2 months ago and is eating a bit more lately.

I do diaper him now, he just refuses the potty and does it on the ground or in nappy right after .

He may be cold? He is now in a sweater and no pants or babylegs, he is too chubby for them...

I just fear he will never EC again....!!

I try to let it go..

He will. He will. Trust him, you know? (it's hard, I know) But if he's anything like my dd, the more you can let it go, the sooner he will ec again! (My dd is a bit, um, "strong willed")
