Argh-dh on the fence w/ vaxing

Do for 4yrs now we have been in agreement not to vax, especially since he has met a person who's family was effected and so have I. Today, he noticed me reading something about the swine flu and he mentioned he'd been thinking maybe it's not right for us to not vax our kids. I asked him why and he said, well, they could get the mumps. I said it wasn't deadly. He said they'd be sterile. I said better sterile than not there. He agreed w/ that. But, he said no matter what facts I bring to him, there's going to be another research to dispute the non-vaxing side.
So I don't know what to do. He said he can read on his own, and doesn't need to point out what diseases he's worried about etc, but I'm afraid he's reading the wrong info. Where can I point him to/send him links to read? I need something that's not going to just be pro-non vax, but breaks down pro/con of them and actually states facts about them. Is there such a place?
Thanks.
I'm so afraid now this could possibly turn into a battle.

You can have him read chapters from a few books such as the Dr Sears The Vaccine Book and then maybe also Aviva Jill Romm's Vaccinations....kinda a few middle of the road type reads that break things down and seem to go different ways in the end-- one being more pro and the other more con.

Hmm, he won't read a book. The best I can do is forward him the Sears link. I actually feel like I'm being bombarded by all sides today-all because of that Dateline episode. Everyone's calling me and asking if I watched it, am I going to vax now, are we doing the swine vax etc. I'm going nuts. It's my dh that's my most concern though. I feel like we've been a wall together and is now crumbling on the issue.

This was DH over a year ago. Today it is not something he worries about, despite his family all being somewhere on the provax spectrum ie one is positively bizarre about it. And her raving has not helped her case at all (she is a public health doctor with a firm fixed belief that vaccines have saved humanity). Others in his family are concerned, but realise it is our choice.

Anyway, if your DH prefers to read on the internet, he needs to formulate his own questions and see which answers best answer his questions. There is a very comprehensive list of questions here by Emmeline II if you can find them which helps to sort out reasons why.

It's tough when someone is at that level of understanding. A lot of guys don't like to read books, but they will read information off the Internet or watch videos. I'd suggest Dr. Moulden's videos. Very simple to follow. Very detailed in regards to how all vaccination causes damage. Also, there are a number of YouTube videos regarding vaccine dangers. There is a really good Gulf War Syndrome video, or he could watch something like Vaccine Nation. Men tend to relate to other men talking about how vaccines have hurt them. If a man in the military, who is in great shape, can completely fall apart physically after a shot, what in the world could a bunch of shots do to a little child?

Good luck.

I'd tell him, that if he wants to inject drugs into your child he needs to prove his case to you; not vaxing is the default position. Saying "well, I read on my own and I think X" is not good enough.

Here are some questions to answer for yourself in deciding about vax.

1. Name of the disease
2. Description of the disease
3. Length of time from initial infection to end of all symptoms
4. Infectious period
5. Normal symptoms of the disease
6. Known serious consequences of the disease
7. Proportion of persons infected developing serious consequences
8. Transmission route of the disease
9. Prevalence of the disease
10. Treatments of the disease and efficacy of those treatments
11. Relevant research about the disease
12. Name of the vaccine
13. Company that makes the vaccine
14. Contents of the vaccine
14A. The significance of whether or not the vaccine is live
15. History of development of the vaccine
16. Known side-effects of the vaccine and rate of incidence of those side-effects
17. Possible side-effects not yet acknowledged by the vaccine maker
18. Relevant research into the vaccine
19. How effective is the vaccine at preventing the disease?
20.What is the vaccine meant to do? (Many vaccines are not meant to prevent infection or transmission).
21.Number of cases reported each year.
22.Number of deaths reported each year from the vaccine and natural disease.
