Need baby doll recommendations.

First, I have to say, that I personally like waldorf dolls. I made a waldorf syle doll for dd 2 b'days ago. It was difficult for me. It took me a long time to make it. I poured a lot of love into it. She *never* plays with it. Ever. It's my life's greatest disappointment.

What she wants is a plastic baby doll. Preferably with eyes that spring open when you sit it up. She is attracted to plastic, clunky, real looking baby dolls. We were at the thrift store the other day and she came at me with a huge doll whose face was discolored with age, it had crazy hair- ratted and sticking out in every direction. It's eyes were the kind that open and close, and this one had eyelashes. It looked like it would come alive at night and kill people.

The problem is that I'm kind of creeped out by plastic dolls Any recommendations for a non-creepy plastic doll?

DD's dolls are mostly cloth, but a few plastic-headed babies have snuck in too. Corolle makes sweet baby dolls. We have a few of the smaller ones. This one might be close to what you're looking for.

We also have two Fisher Price babies that Dd loves very much. They are both similar to this one. (They were thrift store finds, so they are older styles.)

I second the Corolle dolls. DD has several and they hold up well.
